Created a platform that revolutionizes news distribution and consumption in the wake of the “Misinformation Epidemic” by allowing readers to rate news content based on accuracy and bias. I Led a 5-person (3 co-founders) team through bootstrap development of all core technologies, including advanced ML algorithms and large-scale web-scraping for recognizing and categorizing misleading news. Vertas News Joined the incubation program by UTD Blackstone CometX 2018. We also established an accessible rating database of 2,000+ new outlets and authors with the goal of encouraging accountability and good ethics in news reporting.
